As I was looking through the most recent pictures on the J.Crew website, I fell in love with the Mackintosh Kilmany coat. The color is perfect and I think it would be an incredible trench coat to wear during the Spring. However, the price was a little too much for my budget, so I would either have to wait for a sale or I would look into getting another red coat with a price tag more friendly to my wallet. So as I looked around, I found a few choices. I am still trying to decide on what coat to get, but in the meantime, I decided to share my finds with you.

I love all of these red jackets! I've always wanted a red coat or trench, but the practical side of my brain keeps me from buying one for fear I won't get much use out of it. Of course, that Forever 21 trench could be a good compromise :)

@Kelly, I have a red winter coat and I love it. I wear it all the time, you will be surprised how much use you can get out of a red coat. I hope to find the Forever 21 trench in my store this weekend. Fingers crossed!
I love the open neckline on the Calvin Klein and the F21 is almost too tough to resist!! Great alternatives for sure.
